Investigation of Psychological Distress, Burnout and Hygiene Behaviors in Primary Health Workers During The COVİD-19 Pandemia Process

Abstract
COVID-19, which emerged in China, has spread all over the world in a short time. In this study, it is aimed to examine psychological distress, burnout and hygiene behaviors in primary health workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Screening method was used in this research. The study sample consists of 401 healthcare workers aged 18-65 years during the 2021-2022 academic year. To collect data, COVID- 19 Psychological Distress Scale, COVID-19 Burnout Scale and COVID-19 Hygiene Scale were used. As the levels of fear and anxiety increased in individuals, psychological distress and burnout levels are also increased. Also, changing hygiene behaviors, home hygiene, social distance, mask use, shopping hygiene, and hand hygiene have shown moderately positive and significantly related. Based on these results, it can be recommended to make action plans, including multidimensional training programs, seminars and crisis management policies to reduce the burnout, psychological distress and burnout levels of hospital staff.
