Abstract

This study aims to examine the effects of personality traits, depression, anxiety, and stress levels on the conflict action styles of mediators. The research was structured based on the quantitative research model. The sample of the research consists of 1.032 mediators and the easily accessible case sampling method was preferred. One of the strengths of the research is that the sample of this study consists of a large group of mediators, which is defined as a new career field in Turkey and a limited number of studies have been conducted. To collect research data, Personal Information Form, International Personality Inventory Short Form, Conflict Resolution Action Styles Scale, and Depression-Anxiety-Stress Scale were used. It was found that Depression- Anxiety-Stress Scale scores and the International Personality Traits Scale scores were found to predict Conflict Action Styles Scale scores statistically significantly. In addition, personality traits were found to mediate the relationship between depression, anxiety and stress, and conflict action styles. It was determined that the personality traits, depression, anxiety, and stress levels of the mediators were related to the conflict action styles. Therefore, these variables should be considered in studies related to the subject.
