Nutritional Behavior of Women According to Generations During Economic Crisis Periods

Abstract
Individuals face changes in their lives during periods of economic crisis. Investigating how the public reacted to these changes sheds light on the measures to be taken and the work to be done in the future. This situation makes changes in people's nutritional behaviour necessary during periods of economic crisis. The study aims to reveal the nutrition and culinary habits of the people during periods of economic crisis, taking into account intergenerational differences. To achieve this aim, interviews were held with 16 women in the Kula District of Manisa Province. In line with the purpose of the research, content analysis was used in the phenomenology paKern. The study concluded that during periods of economic crisis, individuals change their diet, prefer substitute products, and try to reduce costs by bulk shopping. The findings were discussed with previous studies in the literature, and sectoral and academic recommendations were developed.
