Ecobnb as a Digital Reflection of Sustainable Tourism
Main Article Content
Abstract
The proliferation of digital technologies has made it necessary for tourism to radically innovate as destinations have to compete on their ability to use information about the market, customers and competitors. In this regard, Ecobnb, an innovative network-based company as a digital reflection that supports sustainability, has emerged as a community dedicated to sustainable tourism, where people can volunteer to become members to make their businesses more visible. The aim of the study is to reveal the value that digital transformation can provide to sustainable tourism through the Ecobnb example. In the study, content analysis technique and an exploratory approach were adopted among qualitative research methods. The study offers social implications by contributing to the dissemination of a culture of sustainability in tourism management and the active participation of local stakeholders in the growth of a tourism destination.
