The Effect of Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder on Turnover Intention

Abstract
This study was carried out to determine the effect of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder on turnover intention. Research; It consists of white and blue-collar volunteers in various institutions within the province of İstanbul, regardless of the sector. The sample group was reached by the convenience sampling method. 381 blue- and white-collar workers were included in the study. Evaluation was carried out on 294 valid questionnaires. As a result of the analyzes carried out; According to the correlation analysis, it was determined that the intention to leave the job was negatively related to attention deficit and positively related to hyperactivity. According to the regression analysis carried out to determine the impact power on the basis of sub-dimensions; It has been determined that the effect power of attention deficit is higher. In summary; Inattention is more likely to affect turnover intention. Anova and t test results of hypotheses developed for demographic variables; It has been determined that the Hyperactivity/Impulsivity subdimension is mostly male, married, blue-collar, associate degree graduates, who are 36-45 years old, and have 10-12 years of seniority. Another sub-dimension, attention deficit, was determined to be the highest number of associate degree graduates, 55 years of age and older, and 1-3 years of seniority. No gender difference was detected on the basis of this sub-dimension. On the other hand, it was determined that the intention to leave the job was mostly indicated by female, single, white-collar, high school graduates, 36-45 years old, and 1-3 years of seniority.
