Abstract

The aim of this study is to reveal the degree of awareness of the enterprises which are engaged in international trade by export, in the competitiveness relations with their competitors in the domestic market or in foreign markets, at the point of reaching information sources within the logic of bar competition intelligence. In addition to this main objective, it was determined that the methods used by the enterprises in this research were determined by the other methods. For this purpose, a qualitative research has been designed for” theory formation. Finding the answers to the research questions related to the research problem and revealing the issues that need to be explored for competition intelligence require a qualitative research as a research type. As a result of in-depth interviews and discussions with business owners / managers, opinions about the subject have been systematically taken and analyzed. As a result of face-to-face interviews, it was determined that the experience and knowledge levels acquired by the manufacturers and exporters in the context of competitive intelligence as critical information sources, industrial analysis, market research, competitor analysis and confidential customer applications were far from being competitive.
