Abstract
İbrahim Çallı is of particular importance with his identity as an artist and an educator. İbrahim Çallı has improved his education with his own individual efforts. Impressionist influences are seen in the works of the artist who generally likes to make outdoor paintings and still lifes. The aim of this article is to examine the life of İbrahim Çallı, who was recorded as 'Çallı Generation' or '1914 Generation', which coincides with the pre-Republic and the first period of the Republic, and it is examined through the magnolias that he has produced in his works. The magnolias, for which he made an interpretation, were examined in a plastic sense, a numerical determination was made and his life was briefly touched upon. Çallı did not give up oil painting, which is the material he used best, throughout his art life, stood out as a colorist, and the magnolia theme, which he had taken as a subject for many years, almost became synonymous with him. He also achieved commercial success with his magnolia paintings. 14 of his works on Magnolias in the exhibitions were identified. It is known that he gave gifts and also sells many of his works that we do not know exactly. Çallı, the artist of the 1914 Generation, whose name is mentioned together, has become a popular artist in his artistic and professional life. It played an important role in the acceptance of Turkish painting as a respected profession of the Çallı generation. He encouraged the art of painting and contributed greatly to the training of the artists of the Republic Generation.
