Relationship Between Job Satisfaction, Job Commitment and Organizational Citizenship Behaviour: A Study in Human Resources Department

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to clarify the relationship between organizational citizenship behaviour, job satisfaction and job commitment. In this context, firstly a literature review was conducted and the relationship between organizational citizenship behaviour, job commitment and job satisfaction tried to be determined. Then, in order to test the hypotheses determined for the purpose of the study, data were collected from a hundred people working in the human resources department of a company in Istanbul Province, with survey method. The data obtained were analyzed using SPSS statistical data analysis program. As a result of the analysis, the relationships between organizational citizenship behavior, job satisfaction and job commitment were determined, and the hypotheses of the study were tested and interpreted. In this study, it can be seen that employees’ demographic variables, job satisfaction and commitment have an effect on their organizational citizenship behaviour.
