Main Article Content
Abstract
The digital transformation process which is called as Industry 4. 0, has led to rapid transformation in the world. The process differs from any period in which humanity lives by virtue of its content and complexity. Developments profoundly affect all labor markets and create new business models instead of traditional ways of doing business. The aim of this study is to examine the assessments of what kind of effects the Industry 4. 0 theoretical context, which has been handled frequently in recent times on female employees who are accepted as “secondary workforce”. The discussions related to problematic, as goal oriented, have been tried to be resolved by scanning relevant domestic and foreign literature up to date in detail, on the basis of a systematic approach. It is seen that the concept of Industry 4. 0, which is the beginning of a new period and its effects on female employees, has become important gradually in recent years and researchers have suggested several approaches for the subject as a result of the study that the interpretative phenomenological approach was adopted. In these theses, as in all the acts of change, there are emphasized opinions that the 4th Industrial Revolution will bring with it many threats and opportunities, thus the content and quality of each process should be evaluated separately with a more rhetorical approach. Based on the analysis, it has been concluded that the compliance of Industry 4.0 and women employees to this process is a controversial issue, but if the opportunities are well evaluated, women employees may turn the threats that they may encounter into opportunities.
