The Impact of Job Insecurity on Future Anxiety and Employee Performance: An Implementation

Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to determine the effect of job insecurity on the future anxiety and performance of employees. To this end, the sample of this study is consists of 273 employees in two different call centers operating in the private sector in the Kars province. The convenience sampling method was used in the study. Data were obtained using the questionnaire technique, which included statements regarding demographics, job insecurity, future anxiety and performance evaluation. Data were analysed using the SPSS software. Hypotheses formed in order to achieve the purpose of the study were tested using correlation and multiple regression analyses. In the findings obtained from analyses, it was observed that job insecurity and its subdimension had a low and positive effect on future anxiety of employees whereas it had a low and negative effect on employee performance.
