The Mediating Role of Job Satisfaction in The Effect of Perception of Peer Support on Task Performance in Airport Employees

Abstract
Aviation is one of the sectors with intense workload by nature. Therefore, airports constitute one of the most important subsystems of the aviation system where this intensity is experienced the most. Since it is a labor-intensive sector, employees in aviation need to carry out their work meticulously. In this study, the effect of peer support on job satisfaction and task performance of employees working at Kayseri Airport was investigated. In this context, a survey was conducted with 207 employees working at Kayseri Airport. The answers given by the individuals participating in the research were subjected to confirmatory factor analysis, correlation and regression analyses using SPSS statistical analysis software. According to the findings of the study, it was concluded that there is a significant and positive relationship between peer support and job satisfaction, a significant and positive relationship between peer support and task performance and a significant and positive relationship between job satisfaction and task performance. It was also concluded that job satisfaction played a full mediating role between peer support and task performance.
