Main Article Content
Abstract
This article examines the effects of sociotropic and autonomous personality traits on communication skills. Sociotropic personality traits reflect individuals' tendencies to engage in interactions with others, their sensitivity to others, and their dependence on social connections, while autonomous personality traits emphasize independence, self-control, and a focus on individual goals. The impact of each personality trait on communication skills is analyzed within the framework of various psychological theories. Individuals with sociotropic traits tend to develop an empathetic and cooperative communication style, whereas those with autonomous traits are more likely to adopt an independent, decisive, and self-controlled approach to communication. The study concludes that sociotropic and autonomous personality traits contribute to communication skills in distinct ways. In this context, a deeper understanding of personality traits is essential for optimizing interpersonal interactions and developing effective communication strategies.
