The Use of Mobile Health Applications in the Field of Physiotherapy

Abstract

The rapid advancements in technology have impacted the healthcare sector, just as they have in every other sector. Mobile applications developed in the healthcare field are increasingly being used for the management and partial treatment of diseases in healthcare services and public health applications. Mobile applications used in all areas of health are also frequently used and effective in the field of physiotherapy. These technological innovations are utilized in a wide range of conditions, from obesity to Parkinson's disease, from balance disorders to therapeutic compliance. This study aims to provide information about the diseases in which mobile applications are used in the field of physiotherapy, the types of diseases, how these diseases can be controlled with mobile applications, and examples of such mobile applications. The study concluded that suitable mobile applications are available for every disease concerning physiotherapy and that mobile applications are an important tool in this field.
