Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the views of visual arts teacher. In the research, phenomenology design, one of the qualitative research methods, was used. The study group of the research consists of 18 visual arts teachers working in public and private schools in Sivas Province Center and Districts in the 2020-2021 academic year. Visual arts teachers were selected with the criterion sampling method, which is one of the purposeful sampling methods. In the collection of data, semi-structured teacher interview form was used. The findings obtained in the research were analyzed using the content analysis method through the Nvivo Plus program. As a result, 62 categories (against the lesson…) of the views of the lecturer interest, enjoying the lesson, willingness for lesson activities…) 88 codes (according to age group, activity level, …) were determined. While the teachers drew attention to the fact that there should be a workshop in the school in order for the courses to be conducted in a qualified manner.
