Abstract

Entrepreneurship is a driving force of economic development; hence, determining the factors that influence entrepreneurship is considered crucial for fostering entrepreneurial intentions among the younger population. In this study, the relationship between entrepreneurial intentions of university students and their love of money has been investigated based on the theory of planned behavior. The Love of Money Scale, which is the independent variable of the study, was adapted from the works of Tang and Chen (2008), while the Entrepreneurial Intention Scale was adopted from the studies of Linan and Chen (2009). The data for the study were collected through a selfreported online survey administered to undergraduate students, and a total of 354 valid survey responses were accepted. The results of the multiple regression analysis revealed that only the motivation dimension of money had a statistically significant effect on entrepreneurial intention.
