Teachers' Views on Parent Pressure on Primary School Administrators and Teachers

Abstract
The aim of this study is to determine teachers' views on parental pressure on primary school administrators and teachers. The research was conducted according to the case study design, which is one of the qualitative research methods. The study group of the research consists of fourteen teachers working in primary schools and determined by purposeful sampling method. A semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher was used as a data collection tool. Content analysis technique was used to analyze the data. According to the results obtained from the study, the types of pressure applied by parents were expressed as psychological pressure, grading, expectation of special attention, student seating, comparison with other students, interference with the teacher, and excessive communication.
