An Application for The Purchase of Occupational Health and Safety Materıals in Supplier Selection

Abstract

In this study,one of the most important strategies, supply chain and the supply chain management, has been analyzed. In business world, development of new management techniques has been continuing a non-stop process parallel to the development of technologies. In the first chapter concepts of supply chain, supply chain functions and efficient are at the focus. In the second chapter of the study, it is mentioned the supply chain management and this strategy is analyzed in detail. The historical development of the supply chain management and the related literature build the main point. The chapters coming after are about the evaluation from literature.Supplier selection and supplier selection criterias are examined, the SCM application has been evaluated to see how can a firm perform this functions properly. In this application, it is mentioned the supplier selection criterias in a firm and how can supplier performance be controlled. It is expected to see which methods are used in a firm generally.
