The Relationship of Sectoral Loan Usage in the Turkish Banking System with the Covid-19 Pandemic

Abstract
The Covid-19 pandemic has affected all sectors, especially the health sector, worldwide. In terms of economy, sectors have experienced problems, and the pandemic has brought many economic problems. The pandemic has significantly affected the consumption trend, businesses with reduced cash flow have had to use foreign financial resources. The aim of this study is to analyze the impact of the global Covid-19 pandemic on the amount of cash loans used from banks and
non-performing loans in agriculture, manufacturing industry, hotels and restaurants, transportation, storage and communication, and education sectors. As a result of the analysis, it is seen that the amount of cash loans and non-performing loans used from the deposit banks and the entire banking system increased sectorally after the Covid-19 pandemic compared to before the pandemic.
