Abstract

Employment, unemployment and inflation are among the basic subjects of economics as inseparable parts of a whole, and they are also important macroeconomic indicators for the real sector. Reducing unemployment and increasing employment rates are extremely important for economic development and growth. Countries implement various labor policies to reduce unemployment and increase employment. Active labor policies are one of these policies. The main objectives of this policy are to create new job opportunities for job seekers with active labor force policies, to provide the labor force with the necessary training, to make it easier for people to find and to be employed, and to provide permanent employment. The effectiveness of the programs has been a matter of debate due to the high and costly public resources allocated to active labor policies. Within the scope of this study, active labor policies are examined from a conceptual framework and the effect of active labor policies on employment is evaluated.
