Reducing unemployment and increasing employment rates are extremely important for economic development and growth. The main objectives of this policy are to create new job opportunities for job seekers with active labor force policies, to provide the labor force with the necessary training, to make it easier for people to find and to be employed, and to provide permanent employment. The effectiveness of the programs has been a matter of debate due to the high and costly public resources allocated to active labor policies. Within the scope of this study, active labor policies are examined from a conceptual framework and the effect of active labor policies on employment is evaluated.
